Lems Chelsea Review
"Slip-On Barefoot"
The boot upgrade. Casual and workwear both. I’ve worn mine filling holes in the landscaping. Boots were the best thing in my 2024 guide and I left them out last year. Not this time.
No laces, no zippers, no bells or whistles. Throw them on with any jeans. I wear them without socks, and I’ve gotten compliments and given them as gifts. Not the best tread, but perfect for quick errands.
More on the Lems Chelsea
What I like
- The boot I've worn a billion times. Stretch it on and go. No laces, no zippers, no buckles.
- Barefoot: no heel, wide toe box. So much more comfortable than the trendy Chelsea boots it looks like.
- Throw it on with any pair of jeans. It has the right kind of vibe.
- I wear them without socks most of the time. Gotten compliments on them and given them as gifts.
- In winter, a pair of wool socks still fits fine.
- My grab-and-go for quick errands and rucking around outside. For a six-hour work session I lace up something burlier.
Watch for
- Tread isn't the best. Not the worst either.
- Takes some thought with pants. The top can read a little boomer to me.
- Sockless can get a little steamy.
