Huru H1 Backpack Review

"Expandable. Vandalous."

The H1 from Huru is a ridiculously useful expandable 24-40L bag known for its copy of the Mission Workshop Vandal design.

Huru H1 Backpack Expandable from 24-40L.

Expandable from 24-40L.

Great for travel/daily carry hybrid travel. The way this bag handles the extension is solid; you will have a little bunch of fabric around the inside of the main compartment when in collapsed-mode.

Huru H1 Backpack Solid exterior access. Great materials.

Solid exterior access. Great materials.

Two large-ish pockets on the front of the bag. 15″ padded laptop compartment. The 500D Cordura (with some kind of PU coating on the back side) performs AND feels solid. This bag feels really good to my hands.

Huru H1 Backpack Custom-designed buckles.

Custom-designed buckles.

Made from anodized aluminum and brass. Heavy. Clunky. But not without their aesthetic interest.

Huru H1 Backpack Kinda useful rolltop thing.

Kinda useful rolltop thing.

It’s really only useful as a way to segment the main compartment. It doesn’t add much volume to the bag compared to how much volume the expansion feature adds to the bag.But it does give one several different ways of organizing access to (and stowage of) their gear.
