Maximum carry-on size backpack with burly materials, a tight (and long) front pocket, a very protective laptop pocket and a massive main compartment. GoRuck shoulder straps are a personal favorite.

- compression straps can get in the way of zippers, but it’s nice to strap jackets or water bottles to the outside of the bag
- heavy-ish bag, so watch your weight limits
- molle straps all around the bag
- an excellent option for a maximum sized carry-on that will last 20 years.
