What I like
- One of my favorite bags of all time. Clean, minimal, utilitarian.
- The signature harness and back panel contour up around your back and spread the load across your shoulders. You feel locked in.
- Laptop pocket in the back with a really rigid frame sheet.
- One of the best quick access pockets in the game: a big, wide taco pocket you can open one-handed.
- Full clamshell opening, a vertical front pocket and a burly mesh side pocket.
- The 28 is surprisingly big and tall, nice for bigger frames or carrying more.
Watch for
- Black picks up dust, lint and pet hair. The olive hides it better.
- Not much breathable mesh on the back for hot climates.
- The 24 started to feel tight once I was carrying more camera gear.
- The quick access pocket could be a little deeper.

- 24L or 28L. The 24L is 18.25 x 7.25 x 12 in and about 2.9 lb.
- Solution-dyed 840D ballistic nylon, YKK #10 and #8 reverse coil zippers.
- Fits a 15" laptop (the 28 fits bigger).
