DB Journey Ramverk Pro Backpack (26L + 32L) Review

"Svelte. Sleek. "

Really tasty design and build. Carries well, looks amazing. Requires camera cube insert. I find myself reaching for this surprisingly often.

More on the DB Journey Ramverk Pro Backpack (26L + 32L)

What I like

  • The style. Simple, Scandinavian, not every bell and whistle. That's why I kept reaching for it.
  • Big bucket pocket up top. Everything I need regularly just gets thrown in there.
  • The camera cube comes in and out, so it doubles as a regular travel backpack.
  • 26L of depth. I fit my R6 with a 24-105, Insta360 X3, DJI mics and a light, with room left for layers and snacks.
  • Water-sealed zips everywhere and a thin but tough material. Dirt just comes right off.
  • Big water bottle pocket that zips away, plus accessory straps for a tripod.
  • Hookup system to attach it to DB roller luggage.
  • Foam back panel feels good on either side of your spine. The sternum strap is nicer than it needs to be.

Watch for

  • The quick access pocket doesn't get you to your camera. Everything opens from the front, so it's two layers to reach the camera.
  • The flap in the laptop compartment snags the laptop when pulling it out.
  • The round-the-corner zipper on the top pocket needs a little patience.
  • Not much breathability on the back panel.
  • One of the side clips pops out regularly.
  • Needs a camera cube insert for camera use.

Specs

  • 26L and 32L. I've used the 26L.
  • Padded 16-inch laptop compartment in both.
  • Water-resistant polyester with an ABS rib cage for structure.
