More on the Matador Global Travel Pack (45L + 35L)

What I like

• Lighter feeling than the old GlobeRider, with a harness that feels cushy and locked in, load lifters and all
• Stretch mesh side pockets, and front bungees I actually use for a jacket or a wet towel
• Top quick access pocket you can also reach from inside the bag
• Laptop sits on a false bottom behind a water-sealed zip, plus a tablet sleeve up top
• Shoulder straps stow away with a hidden clip, way better than G-hooks
• Smuggler's pocket against your back for passport and boarding pass, unreachable while you're wearing it
• Invisible, breathable back mesh, padded handles on top, bottom, side and back

• 10 water-sealed zips co-engineered with Zoom, 420D bluesign recycled nylon that should last

Watch for

• The 45 is huge and frumpy when it's not packed out. For most trips go 35.
• Not the lightest, around 4 lb, much heavier than an ultralight pack
• Strap mesh is durable but not soft, not great on bare shoulders in a tank top
• Admin panel liner is crunchy, it's a durability call over a luxury feel
• Whatever you bungee on the front gets in the way of the admin pocket
