What I like

• Two bags in one: the day bag zips right onto the front with a full wraparound zipper, quick and really secure
• Zipped together it looks coherent and seriously good, a more sculpted, humanist design language for Peak
• Back panel is the best Peak has done: magnets hold the straps down, juicier padding, hideaway hip belt, feels like a hug
• Main bag is just a well made box, easy clamshell packing, Velcro-topped laptop compartment, hidden AirTag pocket
• Weatherproof recycled nylon and #10 water-sealed zips that don't feel sticky
• Water bottle pockets on both sides of both bags
• The day bag is my perfect EDC size, and works great on its own for a coffee shop work session
• At the plane seat, rip off the day bag for under the seat and throw the big one in the overhead

Watch for

• Main bag on its own has the attachment zipper exposed on the front, looks a little unfinished
• Zipped together it's bulky, could get tight in some overhead bins
• Combined weight can be a lot for strict airlines, check personal item sizes on the airline you fly most
• Easy to overpack both bags, then zipping them together gets stressful
• I slightly prefer the water bottle pockets on the previous Peak travel bag
