Incredible mix of protection, material quality and comfort. Yeti nails that burly, rugged exterior but the straps and inner mesh (and capacity) feel luscious. Strong “material delight” factor. Available in multiple sizes.

What I like
- Structure. A solid bottom plate keeps it standing up and holding its shape, even empty
- Beefy, water and abrasion resistant materials. Less tactical looking than the Mystery Ranch bags it came from
- Trizip access: grip it and rip it, with visibility all the way to the bottom
- Chunky padded straps with load lifters, even on an EDC bag
- Spacious top pocket with built-in dimension and a key clip
- Performance stretch mesh liner, YKK #10 water sealed zips
- The 27L has an external laptop compartment (my 16 inch fits) and an extra top pocket
- Luggage pass-through tucks away behind the back panel
Watch for
- Water bottle pockets are tight. A big bottle cuts into the bag and is hard to get in and out
- Back panel is rigid and on the less padded side. The structure and load lifters won't be for everyone
- Lots of zipping with the trizip. I've never been a huge trizip fan
- The 22L feels more like 16 to 18L and puts the laptop inside the main compartment. I'd go 27L
