Maximum carry-on size backpack with burly materials, a tight (and long) front pocket, a very protective laptop pocket and a massive main compartment. GoRuck shoulder straps are a personal favorite.

- optional hip straps
- compression straps can get in the way of zippers, but it’s nice to strap jackets or water bottles to the outside of the bag
- heavy-ish bag, so watch your weight limits
- molle straps all around the bag
- an excellent option for a maximum sized carry-on that will last 20 years.

What I like
- One huge compartment. Just fill up a big box and carry it on your back
- GoRuck straps feel great: beefy and heavy duty
- Bomb proof durability. It just inspires so much confidence
- Well protected laptop compartment, lifted off the bottom, with a nice stiff back panel
- MOLLE all around and a hip belt
- Ripstop nylon version saves a pound or more over the standard Cordura
Watch for
- Heavy in standard Cordura. Around 5 lb
- The one external pocket is pretty useless. Everything falls to the bottom
- Straps don't stow away

Able Carry Max
Solid & SoftReally lovely and thoughtfully crafted bag. Tons of organization, excellent comfort (super cushy straps), large enough for bigger EDC and travel needs but designed in a way that doesn't make it look funky when it's not packed out.
