Excellent materials. Two main compartments (middle one is expandable) and a front “grip it and rip it” pocket. Stowable backpack straps.

  • No water bottle compartment
  • Excellent materials. Cant speak highly enough of the build quality and materials.
  • Front “grip it and rip it” pocket is easy to open, magnetic closure. But then you have to zip two zippers down to seal it back up.
  • Lots of internal organization, including some velcro areas for all kinds of carry organizers.
  • Expandability adds another 5L to the middle compartment. Useful.

What I like

  • Briefcase, backpack and expandable bag in one
  • Excellent materials and build quality. Love the handles
  • Front "grip it and rip it" pocket: one hand to open
  • Fidlock buckle finds its mate easily. Maybe a little over-designed, but it works really well
  • Middle compartment expands for another 5L while the bag still looks low-key
  • Big main compartment with a divider and hook and loop for organizers
  • Back laptop compartment fits my 16" MacBook Pro
  • Stowable backpack straps for when you need them
  • Feels like if Evergoods made a briefcase. One of my favorites for my own style

Watch for

  • Closing the front pocket takes two hands and two zippers
  • No water bottle compartment
  • I almost never use the backpack straps. I'm always in briefcase mode
